Originally from Houston TX, Traiveon brings a southern, soulful vibe to the Twin Cities music scene. Traiveon gained respect on drums and vocals by supporting local and touring artists such as Mayyadda, Black Velvet Punks, Joe Davis & The Poetic Diaspora, and Bluehound. When composing for his band Traiveon and Candi, he crafts vocal arrangements that seamlessly blend the classic sounds of Motown with modern R&B and neo-soul.
Vocalist and drummer, originally from Houston, TX. Found my voice singing in church under the direction of my father Brian Dunlap. Taking on opportunities such as singing at The House of Blues, featuring on "Just Dance Kids 2", and more. Now bringing a southern, and soulful sound to the Twin Cities music scene. As an artist, I've touched stages like The Dakota Jazz Club, Skyway Theater, Crooners, State Theater, US Bank Stadium, and others.
When I'm not on stage I dedicate my time and efforts to developing programs for youth and young adults. Under the leadership of other organizations, I provide programs and music classes to meet the needs of young people in the community. Striving to have a hub of my own where I can share my experience, and be a bridge of resource and opportunity. Creating a space for tomorrow's leaders to become well versed in arts, justice, and self care.
Over the past 10 years I've had opportunities to play with a number of local, national, and international musicians. Joe Davis and The Poetic Diaspora, Bluehound, and Black Velvet Punks to name a few. Playing with some groups for over 5 years. I've also been apart of the music ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church as drummer, singer, and worship leader. Opening doors to travel and lead worship in all types of religious and spiritual spaces.
